Fairstart Partners
FAIR START is a collaborative venture with nine community partners. It was developed by the community of Thunder Bay as a way of ensuring that children are screened as early as possible. The earlier a child is screened the more likely it is that there will be a successful outcome The current partners in FAIR START are:

- Thunder Bay District Health Unit
- Children's Centre Thunder Bay
- George Jeffrey Children's Centre
- Communities Together for Children
- Conseil scolaire de district catholique des Aurores Boréales
- Dilico Anishinabek Family Care
- Ontario Early Years Centres - District of Thunder Bay
FAIR START is supported through the contributions of valuable time and expertise of many professionals in the community:

- Optometrists
- Speech and Language Pathologists
- Early Years Screeners
Screening is also available for children attending most child care centres in Thunder Bay. Contact your child care centre for more information.
